Jordanian Nursing Council signs computer-based testing delivery agreement with Pearson VUE


DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, Nov. 13, 2016 – The Jordanian Nursing Council has signed an agreement in Amman, Jordan with computer-based testing global leader Pearson VUE under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein as president of the council to deliver a range of exams.

The new multi-year partnership means that Pearson VUE will transform the 11 nursing specialist and 11 advanced nursing specialist exams from pen-and-paper to computer-based exams.

Prof Muntaha Gharaibeh, secretary general of the Jordanian Nursing Council, said: “We selected Pearson VUE to deliver our exams due to high levels of quality, confidentiality and credibility. JNC speciality exams adhered to national framework of competencies and are prepared by Jordanian panel of experts in various areas of nursing specialities.

“The JNC test centre follows a similar process of standardised test centre to Pearson VUE to provide a smooth and positive candidate experience that keeps the exam secure. The first candidates will sit their exams at the Pearson VUE - JNC test center at the beginning of 2017. Pearson VUE provides the potential for us to expand our programme to deliver more nursing and medical examinations.”

Computer-based testing allows candidates to schedule their exams online at a convenient time and date, providing high levels of convenience.”

Jordanian nursing council (www.jnc.gov.jo) is a national governmental regulatory institution for nursing and midwifery in Jordan. The JNC is governed by a board headed by Her Royal Highness Princess Muna Al Hussein as president of the council. The board is comprised of 14 key representatives of the health care institutions and through regulating and governing the nursing profession in education, practice and research.
